This policy explains how Starquill OÜ handles personal data in the mobile games we publish on the App Store and Google Play ("Games") and on starquillgames.com.
Starquill OÜ (registry code 17629179), E. Vilde tee 59-4, 13421 Tallinn, Estonia, is the data controller. Contact: support@starquillgames.com.
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Device and technical data (device model, operating system, language, IP address, crash logs) | Running the Games, fixing bugs, preventing fraud | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Gameplay events (levels played, session length, settings) | Improving game design and balance | Consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest |
| Advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID, Apple IDFA if you allow tracking) and ad interaction data | Showing ads, measuring them, and, if you consent, personalising them | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); non-personalised ads based on legitimate interest |
| Purchase records (item, time, store transaction ID) | Delivering in-game purchases and handling support requests | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Emails you send us | Answering support requests | Legitimate interest / contract |
We do not ask for your name, and payments are processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
When you first open a Game in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent screen lets you accept or refuse personalised ads and optional analytics. You can change your choice at any time in the Game's settings under "Privacy". On iPhone, the Game will only access your IDFA if you allow tracking in Apple's prompt. You can also reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers, for example:
Each Game's store page ("App Privacy" on the App Store, "Data safety" on Google Play) lists the providers and data types used in that specific Game.
Some providers process data outside the EEA, in particular in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: analytics data for up to 14 months, support emails for up to 2 years, and purchase records as long as required by accounting law (7 years in Estonia).
Our Games are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires parental consent). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent at any time, and ask for data portability. Email support@starquillgames.com with the name of the Game. You also have the right to complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or your local authority.
We may update this policy when our Games or providers change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
